I am so excited to share our latest home renovation project!

My incredible Chicagoland clients, Katie and Steve, had an extremely dated, early 80s-style master bath (In the 80s, large jacuzzi tubs and giant built-in tub decks were all the rage).

They also had an extremely small shower, freezing cold floors, a tight vanity, and an extremely large open area of essentially wasted space.

After discussing Katie and Steve’s needs, budget and timeline we knew we had to get creative. They desired a gorgeous, resort-style master bath within a $40,000 budget.

We proposed a plan that included adding an 8’ wall with floating vanities, a free-standing tub in the alcove where the current vanities were. From there, we finalized the shower wall location, closet openings, and the door of the water closet. We were on our way!

Given we were on a tight budget we ordered a prefabricated vanity. This means it comes ready-made with the counter and faucet, rather than a custom build! This allows us to save money in this area. We also selected a low-cost, yet beautiful tile and gorgeous lighting selections.

This bathroom transformation has been completed and these clients love their resort primary bath that utilizes the space and is updated to their needs.

The before and after photos tell an amazing transformation story!
